Candyfest - er - Halloween 2017

This year, we had a movie theme. Princess Poppy from Trolls decided to show up at our house.

And from the Hunger Games trilogy, the valiant Miss Katniss Everdeen.

Wonder Woman also showed up to save the day! The girls had fun. The weather was COLD (and snowy!) And there was much chocolate to be had.

Budding Musician

Annie loves to sing. Everything. With big vibrato. Case in point - bedtime story for her doll, Lotte.



She also spent over a half hour one night with Dayna creating her very own tambourine performance, complete with alternative notation.

Memory Lane

I love the Facebook feature that lets you look back in time. This week has been filled with some precious pictures and videos.

Go, Fight, Win

Our little cheerleader got to cheer at the first home football game, and perform with the dance team at halftime. She seemed to be enjoying herself and loves to be in the spotlight. Another little ham?

Symphony Math

This girl loves her math! She comes home with math papers to finish on the weekends (optional), and can't wait to get started. They also have a differentiated online math program they get to work on once or twice a week at school. She came home with her password last weekend, put it safely in her purse, then took it out again to log on for over two hours of math practice over the weekend. At this rate, she may very well finish the program by first grade! I'm thrilled that she loves to do her schoolwork, and that she particularly loves math.

Pete the Cat Party - It's All Good!

Annie had a particularly groovy time with her Pete the Cat party. Huge thanks to the local library for their space and easy decorations, as well as Pinterest!

Hello, Six!

 And just like that, she woke up and grew overnight. Look at this lovely six-year-old!

As Annie was getting ready to say farewell to five, we asked her the five best things about being five years old.
