Remodeling of the heart is not always pleasant. We don't object when the Carpenter adds a few shelves, but He's been known to gut the entire west wing.

Right now, we're working toward finishing a remodeling project in our basement. It's been years in the making, and we've finally hired out the job. It looks like we'll have 2 finished rooms within the next two weeks. Right now, they're bare frames with drywall ready to go up...but I'm excited to see how things will look when we're done.
Dayna, on the other hand, doesn't seem so excited about change. We have tears about how much she'll miss the old walls, the old carpet, whatever.
It seems like this is a great parallel to life. Change can be hard. We don't mind it in small doses, but when major renovations happen in our lives, we resist.
I feeling like the west wing has been gutted this year...but I'm finally starting to get excited about the changes.
