Hoover Dam

Our trip continued to Hoover Dam. An incredible feat of engineering. It was also about 120 degrees. Yikes!

120 degrees!

Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon was such a majestic site. I was worried how I would do with a broken foot and 100+ degree heat. We took full advantage of the free air conditioned shuttles and were still able to see God's handiwork up close.

Please don't take my picture!

Flagstaff, AZ

Vacation continued in Flagstaff, where we explored the downtown Railyard District, enjoyed sandwiches at a local brewpub and looked at the trains.

Santa Fe, NM

Our roundabout trip through the Southwest started in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I can now say I've been in every Western state. We really enjoyed exploring the Plaza area of downtown Santa Fe.

In a Jam

What to do with all this rhubarb? Well, grab some strawberries, a good recipe, a new Dutch oven, and the cutest helper in the world and make some jam.

Now...to make some homemade English Muffins to go with this yumminess!

Neighbors

It was four years ago that we fell in love with the Martins, who moved in across the street. It all started with an invitation to come over and do sidewalk chalk.

The Martins moved. We cried. We still miss them every day.

The Capps moved in and brought their twins (and baby Phoebe, who arrived last month.) And the sidewalk chalk happened again...

There's something magical about the girls who grow up in the little brick house across the street.

Dayna's Family Day

Eleven years ago, this happened:

She's turning into a beautiful young lady, inside and out.

We're so glad we get to call each other "family." Love you, Daynabug!
