State Science Fair

It's been an adventure this semester with Dayna and her sixth grade science fair project. From the baking of many cookies in December to the school presentation in February to the regional fair in March...she worked so hard to make it to the final step: the State Science Fair. A bonus was the fact that all four of her grandparents were able to make it to her big day.

No one from our district has ever gone to the State Science Fair, and two girls from our little town made it! This was a memorable day for Dayna.

BSF Preschool Program

I have had the joy of taking Annie with me to BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) for four years. But this month marked the end of our Wednesday mornings together. I'm now working full-time until the end of the school year, and Annie will be in Kindergarten next year. It was bittersweet saying goodbye to some wonderful ladies who have really loved on and invested in Annie and the development of her faith.

Easter 2017

He Is Risen!

Our tradition continued this year with lovely weather, albeit a little cloudy for the sunrise. We climbed a local tower to watch the sunrise on Easter morning as we read the account of Christ's resurrection from the Bible.

There may have also been some candy, colored eggs, and much silliness as we joyfully celebrated Easter.

Surprise!

Easter held a fun surprise for some of the Nebraska Wilsons. My parents colluded with Dan and I and flew into Omaha late on Good Friday. When the girls woke up on Saturday morning, I sent them to the basement to grab something from the guest room. Surprise! (Unfortunately, my video proof seems to have disappeared into the digital abyss.)

The next day, Dan's parents came for Easter dinner, where we had "invited a few extra guests who had nowhere to go" and "who had often opened their home to us." Again...Surprise! We had a lovely Easter dinner with both sets of grandparents.

Our ten days together was not long enough, but we made some great memories in the meantime. I hope they visit again soon!

Here are some random pictures from their visit.
