Halloween

An owl.
A cheerleader.
Some pumpkins.
And a tacky tourist finding local "celebrities" and taking selfies.
Happy Halloween!

MKMEA - Des Moines

This year, I had the privilege of working with five young women as they prepared for the Midwest Kodaly Music Educator's Association Honor Choir in Des Moines. We spent several Saturdays learning their songs before an intense weekend of rehearsals culminating in what was probably the best children's choir concert I've ever heard. Dan was even able to play alto recorder on one of the pieces. Our Saturday rehearsals may have also included tea parties, pillow fights and other silliness.

Preschool Parade

Our little owl had a lot of fun at her first Halloween parade.

Proud Preschooler

We continue to be amazed at how much Annie has bloomed in Preschool. She's confidently writing her name, identifying numbers and even figured out how to write her second word!

Pumpkin Patch

It's hard to believe pumpkin patch season is over. We had a great time this year with the new additions to Vala's. Dan didn't work quite as much as years past, and it was nice to have him around a little more.

2016 School Pictures

Somehow, I was given a picture of a girl who looks like a second grader instead of a preschooler. But Dan and I think these are some pretty spectacular school pictures. Dayna - 6th Grade Annie - Preschool
